Registration: Registration, check-in & bib pick-up will be at the Mazama Community Center, 480 Goat Creek Road, Mazama Saturday Dec 15th starting at 9am. Trail Passes may be obtained at the Mazama Store, Winthrop Mountain Sports or check for more information & other locations. All skiers must have atrail pass. Trail passes for race day can be purchased at race registration. Multiple day passes can be purchased at a discount rate.

Competition Site: The MVB Mazama Biathlon Range is a 1.5km flat ski from the Mazama Trailhead/ parking lot. If you need assistance in getting to the range, please contact

Note: There is no food service at the competition site. As the races run from morning into the afternoon it is a good idea to bring something to eat and drink. There is an outhouse at the range site. The closest food service is the Mazama Store.

Eligibility: This event is open to all biathlon racers who have completed the US Biathlon or Biathlon Canada Safety Class. USBA or equivalent national membership is required. Volunteers: Volunteers are always needed for races. This is an excellent way for those new to the sport to see a race at the closest possible vantage and to learn about how a competition functions. Score keeping is also very easy. If you would like to assist Contact the Chief of Competition at

Rifles: Rifles will be available for those without their own. These are Izhmash 7-4 and 7-3 biathlon rifles. We do have left handed rifles. Please note on your entry if you need to borrow a rifle.

Lodging: The nearest lodging is at the Mazama Ranch House, Mazama Country Inn or other Mazama lodging. Winthrop is the next closest town which offers numerous choices and varied rates. Check on line at
