Sunday will be a Mass Start format race: Men's 6 km and Women's, M4 Men and Juniors 5 km with four shooting bouts and a penalty loop for each missed target. It will be followed by a Mountain Bike Biathlon (9km men and 6km women, M4 men and juniors)
9:00 to 9:30 am: On-site registration at the Range (pre-registering by mail is also available and encouraged) Sorry we cannot accept credit or debit cards. Make checks out to Washington Biathlon Association or use PayPal.
10:00 to 10:15 am: Equipment Check – all competitors must go through equipment check
10:15 to 11:00 am: Zero - Rifle sight
11:15 am to 1:00 pm: Race time – (Several heat start times may be posted, depending on numbers)
1:30 to 2:00 pm: Mountain Bike Biathlon
2:15 pm: Medals
2:30 to 3:00 pm range breakdown and clean-up
When to Arrive at the Range: Early arrival at the range is encouraged as help with range and course set-up that will be needed prior to zero. Please do your part and help with set-up before the race and break-down after the race. Awards and prize raffles take place at the race site after breakdown is completed. We generally do not get done until 2:30 to 3:00 pm.
Rifles: Pool rifles will be available for novices and those without their own. These are Izhmash biathlon rifles. We only have a limited number of rifles to loan. We do have left handed rifles. Contact the race director well in advance of the event if you need to borrow a club rifle: email@example.com
Lodging: The nearest lodging is in Enumclaw, with limited selection. Renton, Kent and Auburn have a broad selection of options.
